"Berapa harga buat website?" is one of the most common questions Malaysian business owners type into Google, and the answers range from a few hundred ringgit to well over RM8,000 for a single build. Both can be honest prices; they are simply buying very different things. This guide gives real ringgit figures from Malaysian web design companies, explains the costs that tend to be left out, and shows how to compare quotes properly.
Several Malaysian agencies publish their packages. A few examples, checked in October 2026:
So for a small service business, such as an aircond company, a cleaning service or a renovation contractor, a realistic range is roughly RM800 to RM3,000 for a proper multi-page site at the affordable end, and more for a custom agency build.
Many quotes cover the build only, or include hosting for the first year only. Domain (.com or .com.my) and hosting are charged yearly after that. On some packages hosting and management alone add several hundred ringgit a year.
New price list, new branch, Raya promotion. Ask whether edits are included, how many, and what they cost after that. Some companies charge per task, some per hour, some via a maintenance plan.
Writing the text for your pages is sometimes an add-on charged per page. If you will not write it yourself, get it priced up front.
Many customers search in Malay, with terms like "servis aircond", "syarikat cleaning" or "kontraktor renovation". A Malay version of your main pages helps, but it is often priced separately.
Service tax of 8% applies to many IT and digital services for businesses above the registration threshold (KPMG Malaysia). Many small agencies are below the threshold and quote "nett"; check which applies to your quote.
Put every quote into the same four lines:
A site that is cheap on day one can be the expensive option by the end of year two. Also ask whether the domain is registered in your company's name, and whether you can leave with it.
An online shop, booking calendar or blog can come later, when you know you need them.
Our Malaysian prices are on the Malaysia page, nett with no SST: RM1,288 for Basic (up to 6 pages), RM2,488 for Pro (15 pages built by us) and RM4,888 for Business (30 pages built, online shop included). It is a one-time payment, and the first year of hosting, SSL, backups and the domain is included. Most sites go live within a day of receiving your logo, photos and service list.
From year two you renew the platform at RM399, RM599 or RM999 a year, or stay on a Care plan from RM199 a month, which already includes hosting and the domain plus monthly changes by our team. No plugins to update and one team to message on WhatsApp. For examples by trade, see our cleaning company website and aircond service website pages, or compare every package on the pricing page.
For a small business, published prices start around RM599 for a landing page and roughly RM800 to RM3,000 for a multi-page site at the affordable end. Always add yearly domain and hosting costs before comparing.
Service tax of 8% applies to taxable digital services from registered providers. Many small agencies are below the threshold and quote nett. Our Malaysian prices are nett.
Agencies commonly quote one to three weeks. With your content ready, most of our sites go live within a day.
If many of your customers search in Malay, yes, at least for your main service pages. English alone can work for B2B and city searches.
