In Qatar, a lot of contracting work is won before anyone calls you. A procurement officer at a main contractor, a facility management company or a government-linked client looks you up, checks who you are, and decides whether to send you the enquiry or the tender documents. If your website shows a logo, three stock photos and a phone number, you are probably not on that list.
This guide explains what a tender-ready company profile looks like for contracting, fit-out and MEP companies in Doha, and how to put it on your website so it works for buyers who never pick up the phone first.
Every buyer has its own process, but the questions are similar. Is this a real, registered company? What exactly can it do, and at what size? Has it done this type of work before, for clients like us? Can it work safely and to standard? Who do we talk to?
Registration with large buyers shows the pattern. Qatar Foundation's supplier registration asks companies registered in Qatar for their Commercial Registration (CR) number and pulls other company details from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry database, requires a bank letter, and asks for documents in English. QatarEnergy's vendor registration page says vendors register through its Mushtaryat portal, need a vendor code before they can receive requests for quotation, and that registration does not mean prequalification for any scope of work.
That last point matters. Registration gets you into the system. Your company profile is what convinces someone to invite you.
Start your profile page with a short block of facts that a buyer can copy straight into their vendor form:
Keep this block as text, not an image. Buyers copy and paste, and Google can read text.
"We do all kinds of contracting works" tells a buyer nothing. Break your scope into the trades you deliver, and for each one say the type of project and the size you are comfortable with:
Give each main trade its own page on your website, with its own projects. A buyer searching for a fit-out subcontractor should land on your fit-out page, not your home page.
A project list is where a small contractor can look credible next to a large one. For each project, give:
Ten honest entries beat fifty vague ones. If most of your work has been as a subcontractor, say so. Buyers looking for subcontractors want exactly that.
Buyers want to know you can staff and run the job. A short section is enough:
Do not invent numbers here. A buyer who visits your site and finds half the stated team will not invite you again.
Many tenders still ask for a company profile PDF, and you should have one. But the PDF lives in someone's inbox. The web page is what a buyer finds when they search your name, and it is always current.
Build the page first, then offer the same content as a download: "Download company profile (PDF, English and Arabic)". When you add a project, update both. If you need a printed or tender-format PDF designed properly, see our company profile design service.
Many procurement teams in Qatar work in English, while government-linked and local clients may prefer Arabic. At minimum, the company facts block and your trade pages should exist in both. Write the Arabic properly; a buyer who reads Arabic can tell immediately when a page was machine translated.
A tender-ready profile also helps you rank for searches like "fit-out company Doha" or "MEP subcontractor Qatar", because it is full of specific trade and location words that match what buyers type. Pair it with a clear quote button on every trade page, and enquiries arrive with the service already filled in. Our contracting company website for Qatar is built around this structure, starting at QAR 1,099 one-time, with hosting and domain included for the first year. See all packages and prices.
Registered name in English and Arabic, CR number, year established, classification if held, certifications, scope by trade, a project list with your role in each, key people, HSE approach and a named procurement contact.
Yes. Buyers ask for it in supplier registration forms, and showing it saves them a step and signals that you are a registered company.
You need both. The web page is what buyers find and is always current. The PDF is what they attach to tender files. Keep them in sync.
Only with their agreement. Otherwise describe the client type, such as "main contractor" or "private villa owner", and the scope.
