For a contracting company in Oman, the website is rarely where the deal is closed. It is where a villa owner in Al Mawaleh, a facilities manager in Ghubra or a consultant shortlisting subcontractors checks whether you are real, capable and worth calling. If your website cannot answer that in a minute, you may never hear from them. This guide covers what a contracting company website in Muscat should include.
A good contracting site serves all three without becoming complicated.
What you do in one line ("Building contracting, renovation and fit-out in Muscat and Barka"), your strongest project photos, the main service categories, and a call and WhatsApp button. Add your CR number and Oman Chamber membership in the footer if you have them.
One page per main service: villa construction, renovation and extensions, interior fit-out, MEP works, maintenance contracts, steel structures, landscaping, whatever you actually do. Each page should explain scope, typical project size and the areas you work in.
This is the page most visitors look at. For each project: type, location (area or wilayat is enough), scope, duration and good photos, ideally from several stages. Group them by category so a villa owner sees villas and a company sees commercial work.
A downloadable PDF company profile is still expected in Oman, especially for tenders and consultants. Put it one click from the home page, and keep it updated with the same projects as the website.
Year founded, licences and registrations, the size of your team, key people and their experience, equipment you own, and your health and safety approach. Clients choosing a contractor are judging risk; this page reduces it.
Office address with a map, phone, WhatsApp and a short service request form: project type, location, approximate size and timeline. Ask for what you need to reply usefully, nothing more.
Many private clients in Oman search and message in Arabic, while companies and consultants often work in English. Build both, written natively rather than machine translated. Arabic terms people use include "شركة مقاولات" (contracting company), "ترميم" (renovation) and "بناء فلل" (villa construction); those words should appear naturally on your Arabic pages.
Register your Google Business Profile using the exact address string on your CR, choose the most specific category ("General contractor" or "Construction company"), and add project photos regularly. Google explains that local ranking depends mainly on relevance, distance and prominence (Google Business Profile help), so complete details and reviews matter. Then list your company on the Oman Chamber of Commerce directory and local business directories with the same details.
Published Omani price guides give a useful benchmark. Hobrista puts a basic 3 to 5 page informational site at OMR 200 to 500 and a standard 5 to 10 page business website at OMR 500 to 1,200. Some Muscat agencies sell dedicated contracting-company packages; Mazoon Soft, for example, lists one at OMR 250. When comparing, check whether hosting, the domain and Arabic pages are included, and what renewal costs from year two.
Oman introduced VAT at 5% in April 2021 (Pinsent Masons), so ask whether quotes are VAT inclusive.
Our Oman prices are on the Oman page: OMR 119 for Basic, OMR 239 for Pro and OMR 449 for Business, paid once, 5% VAT included. The first year of hosting, SSL, backups and the domain is included, and most sites go live within a day of receiving your project photos and service list. Pro includes 15 pages built by us, which covers services, projects and an Arabic version for most contractors. See our contracting company website page for the setup, and the pricing page for every package.
If you want our team to keep adding projects for you, Care plans in Oman start at OMR 19 a month and include hosting and the domain. No plugins to update, one team on WhatsApp.
Quality matters more than quantity. Ten well-documented projects across your main categories are better than forty with one photo each.
Only with permission. Some contracts restrict publicity; check before naming the client or showing the site.
A .om or .co.om domain signals a local company and requires Omani registration documents. A .com works too; consistency of your details matters more for search.
Yes. Consultants and procurement teams often ask for it first. Keep it short, current, and matching the website.
Send us your company profile and a few project photos on WhatsApp and we will show you how they would look as a website, or start a free 7-day trial.
