Most people looking for car tinting in Malaysia already know roughly what they want: cooler cabin, less glare, a bit of privacy. What they do not know is which shop to trust, which film to pick, what is legal, and how much it will cost for their car. They search "car tint Shah Alam" or "tinted kereta murah Penang", open a few websites and Facebook pages, and contact the one that answers those questions clearly. This guide covers what a car tinting shop website in Malaysia should show so customers choose you before they even call.
Before a customer sends a message, they are trying to answer five questions:
A website that answers all five on a phone screen does most of the selling for you. Everything below supports those answers.
This is the page most tint shops skip, and the one customers value most. According to Motorist's guide to the JPJ rules (updated May 2026), the windscreen must let at least 70% of light through, the front side windows at least 50%, and the rear windscreen and rear side windows have no limit. The same guide lists penalties for a first offence of a fine of up to RM2,000 or up to six months in jail.
On your website, turn that into something useful:
Do not write it as legal advice, and link to your source. Customers trust a shop that is open about the rules more than one that promises "dark but legal" with no detail.
Tint brochures are full of terms like VLT, IRR (infrared rejection), UV rejection and TSER (total solar energy rejected). Most customers do not know which one makes the car feel cooler. Your website can help:
If you also do ceramic coating, PPF or windscreen-only jobs, give them their own sections. Many customers book tint and add coating once they see the package.
"PM for price" is common on Facebook, and it loses customers who are comparing three shops at night. A simple price table works better:
If prices change with promotions, a website you can update yourself, or that someone updates for you, means the price on your site matches the price you quote on WhatsApp.
Customers want to see a car like theirs. Organise your gallery by model ("Honda HR-V, front 50% VLT, rear 20%") rather than one long photo stream. Include close-ups of the edges and dot-matrix area; clean edges are what separate a good installer from a cheap one. Use your own photos, taken in your shop.
Spell out the warranty: how many years, what it covers (bubbling, peeling, fading, discolouration), what voids it, and whether it is your warranty or the film brand's. Add a short aftercare section: how long to keep windows up after installation, when it is safe to wash the car, and what small haze or water spots are normal in the first days. This reduces worried phone calls and shows you know your trade.
Many customers search in Malay ("tinted kereta", "kedai tinted"), others in English, and in some areas Chinese is common. At minimum, keep your main page, price table and JPJ section in Malay and English. Use the words customers actually type: "tinted" is used more than "window film" in casual searches.
Our Malaysia prices are paid once and shown nett: RM1,288 for Basic, RM2,488 for Pro and RM4,888 for Business. The first year of hosting, SSL, backups and the domain is included, and most sites go live within a day of receiving your content. If you want our team to update prices, promotions and gallery photos for you, Care plans start at RM199 a month. The tint-specific features are on our car tinting website page, the full Malaysia offer is on the Malaysia page, and every package is compared on the pricing page.
Yes. It is one of the first things customers ask. Keep it short, link to your source, show the VLT of each film you sell, and avoid presenting it as legal advice.
Facebook is good for showing recent jobs, but it is hard to find on Google and hard to keep a clear price list on. A website gives you a fixed place for prices, the JPJ section, warranty and booking, and you can link your Facebook and Instagram from it.
Six is enough to start: home, tint packages and prices, JPJ guide, gallery, warranty and aftercare, and contact with location.
Yes. Add each as its own page when you start offering it, with the same structure: what is included, prices by car size and photos of your own work.
